4. Game Saves
The game may use local storage to maintain save data directly in your browser. This means:
- Your save is stored on your device only.
- Clearing your browser data may delete your save.
- Updates may invalidate older save files depending on version changes.
5. Movement & Interaction
Depending on the current build and design:
- Character or world navigation may be mouse-based, button-based, or both as is the current design.
- Some interactions may require selecting icons, item slots, or dialogue choices.
6. Icons & Inventory
The game uses a large collection of item icons. Tooltips or hover descriptions may appear when interacting with them. Items typically do one or more of the following:
- Modify stats
- Use combat abilities
- Equip weapons and armor
- Combine into new items using game skills
7. Tips for New Players
- You have to allow the website (gnosticking.com) to use cookies, and allow the website to use local storage (indexedDB) for the game saves and loads to function properly. You can, however, jump straight into the game directly and the game will assign values to everything undefined, such as your player's name, world seed, and your player's skin and hair color.
- Create and save your player character and world seed on the settings ↗ page.
- After the game has been saved in-game, your saved games can later be found on the settings page under the "Saves" menu. You should load your saved game from there as soon as possible because it automatically opens auto-load features.
- Hover over items or icons and right click them to examine them and to learn about them.
- Click the vehicle's seat to get in and out of vehicles.
- Save your game frequently and don't be afraid to start over.
- The more chunks that you modify, the larger your world save becomes, and the longer it takes to save and load the game saves.
8. Troubleshooting
- No sound? Make sure your browser allows audio autoplay or click the screen to enable sound.
- Graphics issues? Try switching browsers or disabling hardware acceleration.
- Game running slowly? Close background tabs.
- Not saving? You have to allow this site to use cookies and local storage.
- Not loading? The game may have been updated. If so, you may need to delete your saves on the settings page and start over to play in the updated worlds.
9. Safety Notice
The game may contain flashing lights or high-contrast imagery. If you experience discomfort, stop playing immediately.
